FAQs

What is laser cleaning, and how does it work?

Laser cleaning is what it sounds like. Laser beams pulsate to remove containment rather than a continuous beam. This pulsing concentrates the power even more and gives an even quicker heating of the contaminated layer, so as a result, we are able to clean big surfaces in a short period of time. The non-contact method vaporizes contaminants like rust, paint, food build up, and other unwanted materials without damaging the substrate (underlying material).

Why is laser cleaning considered a non-contact method?

Laser cleaning is non-contact because it uses laser energy to vaporize contaminants without physically touching the surface. This prevents damage to delicate or sensitive surfaces, making it the perfect solution for cleaning historical artifacts, electronic components, precision machinery, and any delicate surface.

How does laser cleaning provide precision and control?

Our lasers allow the operators to target specific areas on a surface with pinpoint accuracy. This level of control ensures contaminants are meticulously removed without affecting the surrounding material.

Is laser cleaning environmentally friendly?

Yes! Laser cleaning is one of the most environmentally friendly ways to clean your machinery. It doesn’t use harmful chemicals or create secondary waste. It’s perfect for delicate environments.

What are the safety benefits of laser cleaning?

Laser cleaning enhances safety by reducing the need for harsh chemicals and abrasive materials. This means limiting exposure to dangerous chemicals and no flying debris. The process is safer for operators and minimizes the risk of accidents or injuries.

How is laser cleaning cost-effective?

Laser cleaning helps your bottom line due to its long lifespan, minimal maintenance needs, and the elimination of consumables. This reduces operational costs and downtime, leading to a high long-term return on investment (ROI).

What types of materials can be cleaned using laser technology?

Laser cleaning is versatile and can be used on a variety of materials, including metals, stone, wood, ceramics, and composites. It effectively removes contaminants such as rust, grease, paint, oxide layers, and organic residues from these surfaces.

Can laser cleaning be used on delicate surfaces?

YES! Laser cleaning is perfect for delicate, high-value surfaces because there’s no physical contact with the material. Intricate details are perfectly preserved, no damage to costly products, and a perfectly clean down to the molecular level. Ex: historical artifacts, electrical components, precious metals, tooling/molds.

Does laser cleaning generate any waste or debris?

Laser cleaning does not generate secondary waste or debris. It vaporizes contaminants directly making it cleaner and more efficient compared to traditional cleaning methods.

What kind of applications are laser cleaning best suited for?

Laser cleaning is the perfect solution for almost any surface, if not all!  Some examples may include industrial equipment, infrastructure preservation, historical restorations, electronic components, and delicate machinery. Its versatility and precision make it suitable for a wide range of cleaning needs.

Can laser cleaning be used for cosmetic procedures like tattoo removal?

While lasers are widely used in many cosmetic procedures like tattoo removal, we are not equipped to provide that service with our machinery. Our focus is machine cleaning, profiling, and engraving.
